Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the SubAlu website and any enquiry or order made through it. By using the site or sending files for production, you agree to the conditions set out below.

Your use of the site stays within these limits

The SubAlu website is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd for product information, file enquiries and order related communication. You may use the site for lawful purposes only and may not misuse it, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorised access to any system, form or file transfer process.

We may update content, product details, service notes and these terms at any time without prior notice. It remains your responsibility to review the current version before placing an order or sending artwork. Any continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Images, rights and written approval to print

When you send images, artwork or layouts for dye sublimation onto coated aluminium panels, you confirm that you own the files or have permission to use them. This includes copyright, reproduction rights, model releases and any permission needed for logos, trademarks or third party content.

  • Do not send material that infringes another person’s rights.
  • Do not send unlawful, defamatory or misleading content.
  • We may refuse files that are unsuitable, incomplete or lack proof of permission where required.

You are responsible for the accuracy of names, dates, spellings, crop instructions and layout notes supplied with the job.

File checks, colour work and production limits

We may review resolution, image placement, bleed, contrast and colour readiness before production. File checks help identify obvious issues, but they do not replace your own approval of the final artwork. Low resolution files can print soft or pixelated, and images pulled from social media often lack the quality needed for panel printing.

Colour on screen may differ from the final print because monitors, lighting and image profiles vary. We may prepare test panels, adjust crops, or recommend a gloss, matte, white or brushed finish where it suits the artwork and viewing conditions.

Orders, approvals and change requests

An order is only confirmed once we have received your approval of the final artwork or layout, along with any required production instructions. If you request changes after approval, we may need to rework the file and adjust the delivery date. This can include crop changes, finish changes, resizing, mounting changes or a new print run.

  • Custom sizing is made to the measurements supplied or approved by you.
  • Multi panel layouts must be checked carefully before print release.
  • Mounting options and hanging hardware are supplied to suit the agreed panel format.
  • We are not responsible for errors approved in writing by you.

It is your duty to check all details before sign off.

Delivery across Gauteng and beyond

Dispatch arrangements for Randburg, Johannesburg, Midrand, Sandton and Pretoria are handled from our base in Randburg. We also deliver to Cape Town, Durban and Gqeberha when the order schedule allows. Delivery times are estimates and may change because of traffic, courier delays, weather, municipal restrictions or access issues at the receiving address.

Risk in the goods passes once the parcel is handed to the nominated courier or collected by you, unless we state otherwise in writing. Please inspect packaging and panels as soon as possible after receipt and report any visible transport damage promptly, with supporting photos where available.

Care, mounting and what happens if something is wrong

Printed aluminium panels should be handled with care, kept dry and cleaned with a soft cloth only. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive pads or rough tools on the print surface. Direct sun, outdoor exposure and continuous moisture can shorten the life of the panel finish, especially in exposed or coastal settings.

  • If you believe a panel was produced incorrectly, tell us as soon as possible.
  • We may request the return of the item for inspection before any reprint or correction.
  • Any replacement or reprint will depend on the nature of the issue and the approved file supplied.
  • Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

Our liability is limited to the value of the affected item, except where the law says otherwise.
