Delivery Areas

SubAlu produces from Randburg and sends finished aluminium photo panels to key centres across South Africa. Delivery timing and packing are planned around print size, finish and mounting hardware.

Delivery Areas

From Randburg to the main delivery lanes

Our panels are made in Randburg and sent to key centres across the country, with regular delivery handling for Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Gqeberha, Midrand and Sandton. The route you choose depends on the panel size, finish, mounting method and how tightly the work must arrive for install or handover.

For larger pieces or multiple panels, we plan packing so the edges, corners and printed face stay protected in transit. A gloss finish can show fingerprints more easily, while matte and brushed options can be kinder on glare in bright office spaces or coastal light, so the finish choice does affect how the order is packed.

How the area list works on this page

The listing cards below are added separately, but this hub gives a clearer view of where we deliver and what to factor in before placing an order. A panel headed for a studio in Johannesburg may move differently from one bound for a gallery wall in Durban or a corporate office in Pretoria.

  • Johannesburg orders are often best for tighter turnaround and collection planning
  • Cape Town, Durban and Gqeberha deliveries need extra care for longer transit and coastal humidity
  • Midrand and Sandton deliveries often suit business installs with set access times
  • Pretoria deliveries are commonly scheduled around office hours and site rules

Why finish and size change the delivery plan

Aluminium panels printed by dye sublimation are durable, but the final finish changes how we handle the work. White coated panels give strong colour and sharp contrast, while brushed panels keep a metallic texture visible through the image. Gloss panels give a richer shine, though they also need a little more protection during handling.

Panel size matters too. A small piece can travel easily, but a wide feature panel or multi-panel set needs stronger outer packaging and more careful stacking. If hanging hardware is included, we check that the fixings are secure and positioned for the weight of the finished panel, especially on larger formats.

What goes into a safe handover

Before dispatch, we review the artwork file, print resolution and crop placement so the panel arrives ready for use. Customers must own the image rights or have permission to print the files they send, because every panel is made from supplied artwork. If a file needs colour preparation or a stronger crop for the chosen size, that is sorted before printing.

Finished panels are wrapped to help protect the printed face and the edges, then packed for delivery or collection.

City by city handling that suits the job

Johannesburg and Randburg orders often move fastest for local collections and nearby deliveries. Pretoria and Midrand are usually managed with business access in mind, while Sandton orders can need timed drop-offs for offices, reception areas or fitment teams. Cape Town, Durban and Gqeberha orders are planned a little differently because distance and humidity can affect timing and storage before installation.

  • Johannesburg: local orders, studio work and office walls
  • Pretoria: corporate spaces, schools and municipal premises
  • Cape Town: longer transit, careful wrapping and humidity-aware handling
  • Durban: coastal conditions and secure packing for printed faces
  • Gqeberha: delivery planning for galleries, homes and commercial spaces

What to send with your order details

To keep the delivery moving, send the panel size, finish choice, whether you need hanging hardware, and the town or suburb where it must land. If the panel is going into a gallery, showroom or office, mention any site restrictions such as lift access, loading bay rules or specific delivery windows. That helps us plan packing and dispatch properly.

For multi panel layouts, we also check orientation and spacing so the set arrives in order, not mixed up. If you need a repeat of an earlier panel or a matching second print, note that in the file instructions and we will keep the colour and cut line aligned as closely as possible.

Metal print questions

Do you deliver only in Johannesburg?

No, we send finished aluminium photo panels from Randburg to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand, Sandton, Cape Town, Durban and Gqeberha, with careful packing for each route.

Can you help me choose the right finish for delivery?

Yes. Gloss, matte, white coated and brushed finishes all travel differently in practice, so we look at glare, wall position and the final install space before dispatch.

What do you need from me before printing and delivery?

We need the image file, the required size, the finish, any mounting choice and confirmation that you own the image rights or have permission to use the artwork.
