A bright white base that pushes colour forward
This white gloss print is a coated aluminium photo panel made for dye sublimation. The image is transferred into the coating under heat and pressure, so the print sits in the panel rather than on top of it. That gives the surface a bright, smooth finish with strong colour and crisp detail, especially on high resolution files.
The white base lifts pale tones, clean whites and strong contrast, which makes it a good fit for wedding images, product shots, fine art reproductions and corporate reception pieces. In Johannesburg offices, coastal homes in Durban, or gallery walls in Cape Town, the gloss surface catches light and gives the panel a vivid, polished look.
We work from Randburg and supply across South Africa, including Pretoria, Midrand, Sandton, Gqeberha and further afield. Each panel is made to order from your supplied file, so the image needs to be supplied at the right size and quality for the finish you want.
Finish choices that change the final look
White gloss is the brightest option in this range, but the panel family also includes matte, white and brushed looks for different display conditions. Gloss gives a reflective sheen and stronger apparent depth. It is often chosen when the room has controlled lighting or when the image needs a crisp, lively presentation.
The surface is well suited to portraits, architectural images, colour-rich artwork and commercial graphics. If the print is going into a boardroom, showroom or gallery, we can help match the finish to the space, the viewing distance and the amount of natural light.
- Gloss finish for strong reflection and vivid colour pop
- White base for maximum brightness and clean colour balance
- Suitable for indoor display where light control is fairly good
- Can be used as a single statement panel or as part of a multi panel layout
For coastal areas where humidity is part of daily life, the aluminium base is a practical choice. It is less likely to cup or swell like some board products, which helps in rooms near the sea or in buildings with air conditioning that runs all day.
Sizes, formats and layout options that fit the wall
White gloss panels can be produced in custom sizes as long as the image quality supports the final output. Standard photo sizes are common, but we also cut to custom dimensions for feature walls, narrow passage spaces, reception counters and retail displays. Square, portrait and landscape formats are all available.
For larger installations, we can plan multi panel layouts where one image is split across two, three or more panels. This works well for office foyers, hospitality spaces and studio interiors. When ordering, it helps to confirm the exact wall area, the number of panels and whether the image needs to line up across joins.
- Single panels for homes, studios and offices
- Custom sizing for unusual wall spaces
- Multi panel sets for panoramic images
- Portrait, landscape and square layouts available
If the artwork is for a public or commercial space, check local mounting rules and building access before sizing up. In some buildings, lift sizes, stairwells and wall surfaces affect the final format more than the image itself.
How the file needs to be set up before we print
Good print results start with a file that is large enough for the finished panel size. We review resolution, crop placement and colour preparation before printing. A file that looks fine on a screen may still be too soft for a large wall panel, so the pixel count needs to be checked against the final dimensions.
Because the panel is white gloss, strong contrast and clean colour separation show very well. That also means oversaturated files, dark shadows and low-resolution images can show their flaws more clearly. We can advise on cropping so important faces, logos or objects do not sit too close to the edge or mounting points.
- Send the highest resolution file available
- Confirm the final size in millimetres or metres
- Tell us if the image must be cropped in a specific way
- Advise if the artwork includes text, logos or fine linework
You must own the image or have the rights to use it before sending it for print. That applies to personal photographs, branded material and any artwork supplied by a third party.
Mounting, hanging and the wall behind it
These panels can be supplied with hanging hardware suited to the size and weight of the piece. Smaller panels often use a neat rear hanging solution, while larger formats may need a more substantial fixing method. The final choice depends on the panel size, wall type and whether the piece must sit flat or stand off the wall slightly.
For plastered brick, drywall, concrete or timber feature walls, the fixing point needs to be chosen properly so the panel sits level and secure. In offices and retail areas, it is worth checking for services inside the wall before drilling, especially where there may be power lines, data cables or aircon piping behind the plaster.
We can also advise on installation for new builds, refurbished offices and busy spaces where the panel may need to be removed later for cleaning or relocation. If the panel is going into a passage, above a reception counter or in a narrow room, the hanging style should be chosen so it does not project too far.
Keeping a gloss panel looking clean
Gloss panels are easy to maintain if they are handled with a bit of care. Dust can be removed with a soft microfibre cloth. For marks, use a lightly damp cloth and wipe gently. Do not use abrasive pads, strong solvents or rough paper towels, as these can dull the surface over time.
In homes with kids, pets or heavy foot traffic, it is useful to place the panel where it will not be brushed against often. In business spaces, fingerprints and airborne dust may be more noticeable on gloss than on matte, so regular light cleaning helps keep the image sharp and bright.
- Wipe with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth
- Avoid harsh cleaners and scrubbing pads
- Keep out of direct contact with sharp objects
- Store flat if the panel is waiting for fitting
With correct handling, the panel keeps its clean finish well and gives a polished display that suits both modern interiors and more traditional rooms.
What to confirm when placing an order
When ordering a white gloss panel, confirm the finished size, orientation, image file, crop position and preferred mounting method. If you need several panels for one space, say whether they must match exactly in tone and size. For brand walls, it also helps to confirm whether the image includes a logo, line art or text that must stay sharp at close viewing distance.
It is also useful to note the delivery area, especially for Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban or Gqeberha where access, security reception points and timing can vary. If the piece is going to a corporate office, gallery, hotel or retail site, mention the site contact details and the preferred delivery window so packing and dispatch can be planned properly.
Our team handles file checks, colour preparation, finish selection, custom sizing, packing and delivery, plus reprint matching when an existing panel needs to be matched. If you are replacing an older piece, send a photo of the original and the wall space if possible, as that helps with the sizing and finish choice.
